Flower market

Every Saturday there is a flower market at the square Janskerkhof, from 7am until 5pm. The Janskerkhof is during this time a colorful square of flowers and plants. The sellers are screaming ‘Bunch of roses, 5 euros’. It is a cozy and typical Dutch happening. Also at the Oude Gracht you find some stalls with flowers and screaming sellers.

Bars and restaurants surrounding Janskerkhof in Utrecht

There are several bars and restaurants at Janskerkhof. Café Hofman is the place for a lunch, dinner, a good time at the terrace and a dance until the late hours. Dinner Café Hemingway is just on the other side of the street. Here you can have a nice dinner. Also on the other side of the street you find Broers, this is a good place for a drink, a lunch and a dinner. For a culinary experience you should take a visit to Brass. You are welcoming in the afternoon and evening!

For a quick lunch you definitely have to try Mario’s Italian bread, with cheese and salami. Most of the Utrecht residents love Mario and his bread!

 

From Janskerkhof you have a nice view on the Dom Tower and it is on walking distance from Neude Square.
